It gives me great pleasure to announce the winner of the 2010 Academy Award for Best Documentary.....goes to........”The Cove”.

Now this deserves a round of applause, especially as it has had such a major impact around the world, highlighting what’s going on in a small cove in Japan!

The fight is still not over but let’s hope that the local fishermen can stop saying “it’s our tradition and we have a right too” and that they find other peaceful and sustainable trades, maybe in eco-tourism.
